the Girl With Red Hair and an Imagination

I was nominated by Sarah from Trusting in the Lord Day by Day in the Kindred Spirit Award, for Anne of Green Gables fans!

Rules:
1. Answer the questions you are given.
2. Nominate anyone you'd like.
3. Give 10 questions for others to answer (you can use my questions if you'd like).
4. Share the picture above^ with the post you make and link it back to Eve's blog.

Here are your questions:

1. Who is your favorite character in Anne of Green Gables?
Anne!!! Definitely! Anne is awesome.

2. Are you more like Anne or Diana?
Good question! But I would absolutely have no idea.... sorry.

3. What is your favorite quote from the book/movie?
Sooo many!! Here are a couple of my favourites:

“Isn’t it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive—it’s such an interesting world. It wouldn’t be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There’d be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

“But really, Marilla, one can't stay sad very long in such an interesting world, can one?”

“It's been my experience that you can nearly always enjoy things if you make up your mind firmly that you will."

“Life is worth living as long as there's a laugh in it.”

“Because when you are imagining, you might as well imagine something worth while.”

4. What was the funniest moment in it?
There are lots of awesome moments. I thought when Anne falls out of the boat into the river when she is playing with her friends is quite a funny moment though.

5. Would you rather have Diana's raven black hair or Anne's carrot red hair?
Well, actually, neither! I would prefer to have blonde hair. But that's not an option obviously.

6. What do you think of Gilbert?
It was extremely rude of him to poke fun at Anne's hair like he did. But I'm glad they made up in the end.

7. What are your thoughts on puff sleeves?
They are just the tiniest bit out of date now-a-days.

8. Have you ever been to Canada?
Unfortunately, no.

9. How would you describe Anne?
Eager to please, talkative, imaginative, bright and quick personality, has red hair and freckles.

10. Favorite word Anne uses in the book/movie?
"Kindred spirits" is either a phrase or two words, so I suppose it doesn't count. But that is really my favourite if I had to pick one.

Okey dokey.
I think this is the way I'm going to do my questions. (Those were awesome questions by the way!) If you are nominated below, this is what you have to do:

a) Answer at least 6 of the questions Eve wrote (the ones I answered). You can answer as many as you want, how you want as long as you answer 6 or more.
b) Annnd... answer my 4 questions, which just happen to be sitting below.

1. Have you read all the Anne books?
2. Which is your favourite? (If you answered no to the above question, just pick your favourite out of the ones you have read.)
3. Did they inspire you in any way?
4. Do you think Anne of Green Gables would have been any different if she was in modern times?

I nominate to complete this tag... whoever comments "Carrots!"

  1. Wellll, seeing the persons comment above I'm guessing that they want to do the award! Lol! Actually, I haven't read any of the books, just the movies (which I adore!) Have you ever watched the movies? Thanks for doing the award! It was so fun to see all the answers! :D

  2. I'm just going to answer here. I like the questions so I thought I'd give it a shot.

    1. Who is your favorite character in Anne of Green Gables?
Anne, but I think all the characters have such developed personalities and go so well together it almost seems like they're real.

    2. Are you more like Anne or Diana?
Definitely more like Anne. I could identify with her a lot- especially a wild imagination when I was little. And Diana was a lot like my cousin. I would lead and she would follow, lol! :D

    3. What is your favorite quote from the book/movie?
Hard to say because I don't remember many quotes, but I often used this one:

"I'm in the depths of despair!"

I also liked when Anne nearly drowned on the lake, and was clinging to the bridge and Gilbert came along and asked what she was doing, to which she replied "fishing for lake trout"

    4. What was the funniest moment in it?
Can't decide. Some funny ones were when she usually got into trouble, like the time when she accidentally gave Diana currant wine.

    5. Would you rather have Diana's raven black hair or Anne's carrot red hair?
    I love Anne's red hair.

    6. What do you think of Gilbert?
Gilbert was the perfect match for Anne and had a funny sense of humor.

    7. What are your thoughts on puff sleeves?
    Yuck.

    8. Have you ever been to Canada?
Yes! But only for one day, and we didn't even get to explore- and it was on the other end of Canada, nowhere near Prince Edward Island.

    9. How would you describe Anne?
Imaginative, bold, dreamy, naive, revengeful, and purely Anne.

    10. Favorite word Anne uses in the book/movie?
Can't think of anything right now. Kindred spirits like Bonnie said.

    BONNIES QUESTIONS:
    1. Have you read all the Anne books?
No, I read several of them, but some of the other ones were too boring, and I didn't like how the author changed the story to make Anne act so much different when she was married.

    2. Which is your favourite? (If you answered no to the above question, just pick your favourite out of the ones you have read.)
    Anne of Green Gables

    3. Did they inspire you in any way?
Helped me realize that dwelling too much in imagination is not very good. And not to keep grudges.

    4. Do you think Anne of Green Gables would have been any different if she was in modern times?
Can't imagine her in modern times. It would not have been Anne. She would probably be really annoying from my perspective.
