Blow your whistle!

Obstruction...
Contact...
Stepping...
Held ball....
Replayed ball...
Offside...
Out of court....
Time...
Penalty pass or shot...
Free pass...
Throw in...
Toss up...

Sounds scary, doesn't it? Yup- it is!

This morning was my first time actually umpiring a proper netball game. It's really confusing, because you have to watch out for ALL the above things at the same time... so it's quite difficult. You have to kind of have eyes in the back of your head!

I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to umpiring next week as well. But later on today we have to go back to the courts for our proper game of netball... so I'm going to be pretty tired tonight! Danella and I are in the same team.

What do you normally do on Saturdays?

  1. On Saturdays? I hang around with friends on The Underground, write a lot, and generally do my own thing. :D

    1. On Saturdays we have full housecleaning (dusting, tidying, vacuuming) every fortnight. That usually takes most of the morning. On every other Saturday we usually do our own thing also. Sometimes we watch a DVD or do jigsaw puzzles. But we also have netball, cricket or tennis depending on who in the family it is.
